Just because some problem is not getting solved doesnt mean that you will escape from it by trying to do some other problem or take a coffee break or listen to mp3s or say "its not worth it". You got to syick to it. And every problem, in fact most of the real life problems, may not have a nice looking, elegant, ideal, textbook solution. You have to accept that. But stick to it. Don't give up. BELIEVE that it can be done in many different ways. Dont pass 'expert' opinion "This cant be done this way" without actually going through it. Suspend judgements. Explore new things. It may not be looking great at first. But great problems are not solved in one day. In fact its defined in that manner. So you have to work hard to refine your ideas. Maybe a THOUSAND times. You may one day come up with a whole new lot of things and ideas about solving so called 'small' problems. Schemes/Diagrams/Visualizations which nobody ever imagined.

Work hard everyday. Rediscover things. Dont try to take credit for a great code you wrote one year back. Do great things everyday. Because you can. But plan it properly. Every great thing starts with a great plan first.

I have been fascinated by combinatorics for some time starting with Knuth's book TAOCP. thats strange though...looking at graph theory for some time. webgraph is a very interesting topic these days. with millions of nodes and trillion of edges it is a gold mine for problem solvers..bi-partite core, community structure, graph partition, modeling and evolution of this kind of graph..i will try to follow this up with all the references I can gather...My intention in this blog will be to keep track of my study progress..

Birthday Resolution

i did some linked list C coding today. Tried to Java-code some clustering algorithm too from the mapreduce lecture. Here are some results.

Buban got chocked yesterday. he was having a big bar of Park when his mother decided to take his shirt off. i was in toilet. by the time i came out he has spitted out the chocolate..

today morning i took him outside and he played a bit. later after coming back he just came to my lap and pretended to sleep when i sang for him..my only audience...

I had this feeling "what is this place? what am i doing here? " when i went to write GATE..i am sure i am the only person who appeared for it..

the same thing happened to me when i went to pick up some form from a government place...
