Learning from a lonely weekend

Idea : - Think about a guy who comes back to his own city after staying in abroad for a long time. He will definitely not know Tippasandra has become one-way. Think about all the chaos he will make innocently.

Probably I am not connected to people anymore.I cant think of the problems people in my used to be world faces now. I should increase my PR I suppose.

Something for my mission statement

• Do not judge or tag people before even knowing them .
• Do not criticize anybody who is not present.
• Do not react to situation. Have patience and respond after a thought. Dont be a rash.

Lessons....

1. Dont try to achieve. Learn and implement. Achievement will come automatically.
2. May be you are not a good learner or talented or whatever. Probably what you always wanted is just the fame or the "exclusivity".
3. You might not be so talented as you think you are. Atleast that doesnt show.
4. Passion changes? Or what you do is your passion?

A perfect circular omelette

I have been trying for ages and looks like I am close to it now. I could make circular omelettes. If you are wondering whats great about it, let me tell you that this is listed in The 100 hardest things to achieve in Husband turned Cook's guide to the cooking galaxy. The key is to flip it properly and wholly. And I am doing it.
Though I hate Times of India for all the almost nude pictures they publish in their backpages(Though sometimes I drool over them), I love their literary supplement on Sunday. This time it published review of Shalimar the clown by you-know-who (I am in Goblet of fire now) and a good list of books (and one is here) from Ruskin Bond.
The FEM class was great this time. I hope to finish the homework by Thursday night(ambitous haan?).

Tejpata ar Purano diner galpo

For some reason good cooking will be always a thing sooo close and yet soooo far thing for me. Wanted to make a curry of Pumpkin and Potato. So called up Ma. For the first time I added tejpata and sugar and jeera powder in my cooking. It was coming up so well.I got the smell almost. But But at the precise moment I went to take a bath and when I came back the whole thing was churned to black lump of ghanto...Sooooo close. Isnt it?

When walking on Infantry Road today this thought came to my mind. Are we getting so mechanical that we are forgetting emotion in life. Akash had given me a short stories book long time back. But couldnt finish it because of its lack of appeal to me. Because most of the stories are having emotional content. Its long since I appreciated Buddhadev Guha. That guy sounds terrible to me now. Its long since I wrote a poem. When my father talks about things in village I think they are all useless. And I never think about having a kid because thats not appealing to me. WHY?

great weekend

First FEM class. Professor seems to be good and also having a sense of humour. Bought one book from Tata Book House. Got another from library. First exposure with ANSYS too.

Had Dosa in lunch and noodles and omlet in snax. Went with Akash and his tree-loving professor.I find it hard to believe that a guy can see a tree and come up with its name instantly. Any tree. But he was doing it. I also saw a tree of Chalta which also has an english name "Elephant Apple".

The professor also talked about Indian Economics in general. Talked about condition of poor. I got totally inspired. I am still inspired by that word "Simple life" which is so impossible to maintain today with ATMs, Colleague's car, foreign trips, lots of undeserved money and half naked girls on MG Road. But I really want to lead a simple life when I will know names of all the trees, all the flowers and all the butterflies. And help some people to live their lives in a more comfortable way.

Then I went to Bengali freshers welcome with Mowghli or Amit. He has benn a good friend of mine of late. He is my IISc connection. Though Aditidi is there too. The IISc bengali association Spandan was showing two films. "Subha Maharat" had a great starting but there was some problem with the DVD player. We also couldnt finish "Dhanyi Meye" and went to sleep at 1:30 after seeing a little of "Tin bhubaner pare".

Woke up late Sunday morning. Had Dosa for Breakfast and went for a walk in campus which soon became a tree watching session. This is all due to Akash.

Then I met a Saurabh Rakshit who came to IISc for doing his MTech from BARC. Had an interesting discussion with him about different profs and different subjects.

In the evening went to a far away place 30 km from IISc. Sri Sri Ravishankar's temple at KanakPura Road. Had a nice experience. Saw some good and inspiring stuff specially the singers there. They can beat all the Indian Idol contestants any time for sure. Great vajans. Great Melodies. Great temple.

That was a good weekend. wasnt it?
