Days of solitude #2

Very unproductive day(yesterday) i would say.except i learnt a bit of C++, read a good sci-blog, booked gas, watched a very fun movie(Madagascar) with Alexander.....Noooo...Now I think it was a great day.

I have got this idea of publishing a bengali only-science magazine yesterday afternoon. By today morning it has come down to writing sci article in already published magazine. looks like by evening the whole idea will be gone.

Days of solitude #1

It has started yesterday. After a long time and probably for the first time I am living alone. Mom, dad, amrita, madhu--- everybody is gone.

Probably it has to do with my bringing up in a village. I am afraid of loneliness and dark. But I know for sure there is tremendous energy in loneliness. But everytime I close my eyes in an empty room I am afraid of what i will see after opening my eyes. But I have to get to that superb energy that comes from loneliness. I will do it.

I read an article in rediff about a author called Murakami. When checked in Blossom I could find out Sputnik sweetheart but not Norwegian wood. in SS first chapter talks of loneliness as described by an american author. Its nice reading. I want to get that book if it comes in roadside within Rs 100.

Harry Potter got me. Finished Part2 today morning only.

I have done 1000 kapalbhati today. Wish I could continue this good thing.

good weekend

A productive weekend i would say. Atleast I started and finished something. This is the fuzzy-logic controller I wanted to implement. Last night around 12 I got it working finally. Sometimes learning is just a flash of realization. Isnt it?
IISc card is still not renewed. So couldnt go to library on Saturday. Read from our old H C Verma. A little of electricity. The table is finally coming. Madhu was again angry on this girl downstair who forgot to switch off the pump. Last evening there was a sweet breeze when I woke up. Madhu is becoming a good cook which means on a Sunday afternoon you are full and sleeping. Not for a long time for sure. There are many reasons for me to study Catalytic Converter. So got some papers, will try to finish it today evening. Lets see what happens.

I dumped LOTR and again started Harry Potter. He just left 9 and 3/4 last night. Stealth is not a good movie but time passed unlike LUCKY.

The joy of taking a bath

Lately I realised the thing I hugely enjoy is taking a bath in a hot shower. We have a geyser in our JB Nagar house and I love playing with the hot and cold water. Sometimes it will be too hot, sometimes too cold and Mr Partha, the User and the Engineer, will do some precision calculation and knob maneuvering to get the optimum temperature.(I had discussed with Dinesh and took help of MS Word spell checker to check the spelling of maneuvering. Actually I had a hard time to digest the spelling of geyser). And in that process sometimes (actually manytimes) Mr. Partha gets burnt. But thats worth of it. But some very rare things happen sometime. Mr. Partha has switched on the geyser and all set to take a bath. Hot water starts flowing. And Mr. Partha tries to get some cold water mixed. But the Great IIT KGP engineer is not aware of the plant inventory. Cold water is consumed by the girls downstair. And no water coming. So Mr Great Engineer shouts "MAdhu, Madhu". Mrs Madhu comes to rescue and life goes on . . .
